Yosef Golowa, MD, FSIR, is a double board-certified Vascular, Interventional Radiology, and Diagnostic Radiology with over 20 years of experience caring for and treating complex patients at leading tertiary care centers.

In addition, he has expertise in the treatment of varicose veins or vascular malformations and peripheral vascular disease (PVD), which he can treat at his practice in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York.

Dr. Golowa offers personalized expert medical care for conditions affecting both men and women, ranging from uterine fibroids and pelvic congestion for women and enlarged prostatic conditions and varicocele in men.

Dr. Golowa specializes in innovative, minimally invasive, safe, effective, image-guided, precision treatments. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Yeshiva University in New York City, Dr. Golowa attended NYU Grossman School of Medicine in Manhattan. 

Following medical school, he pursued a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at St. Luke’sRoosevelt Hospital Center of Columbia University Physicians and Surgeons (now known as Mount Sinai West) also in Manhattan.

Dr. Golowa, following that, was trained in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in a fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital. He later underwent further advanced training in minimally invasive procedures for pediatric diseases and vascular anomalies at the renowned Boston Children’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School.

Before starting his own practice, Dr. Golowa was an attending physician and Associate Professor of Radiology at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center in New York City’s Bronx borough for over 12 years.

He was appointed as director of Pediatric Interventional Radiology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and co-director of the Montefiore Vascular Anomalies Group.

A nationally known expert in his field, Dr. Golowa has been a speaker at numerous professional meetings. He served as a clinical trials co-investigator, and his manuscripts have been published in prominent peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Golowa was also invited to Fellowship in the  Society of Interventional Radiology, an honor bestowed to only 10% of members.
